We
have put all of the pictures we have of Dr George's children here to

WONDERFUL!
Thanks,

This is the church where Dr. George
was christened in 1810.
|
St. Peter's church was built around 1705 and became what was called the pro Cathedral when a new Anglican Diocese of Liverpool was formed in 1880. Then this new cathedral building was at a stage to be used for services, St. Peter's was demolished. This was in 1920.
The records are at the Liverpool Record Office but also may be on microfilm at the Salt Lake Family History Center.

|
Below is an interior shot of St Peter's. It's the typical English preaching house type design brought in after the reformation in the mid 16th
century. There are balconies along the sides and there would have been one at the rear of the church too. The building has been fitted with electricity, so
photo probably taken late 19th century. The cross on the altar would not have been there in 1810.
The organ would have been at the back of the church at balcony level. |
