December 12, 2008 3:35 PM Re-Mix Video of The Green Lake Race
I have spent the last two days re-mixing the 1984 Green Lake 225
Hydroplane heat.
This was on Memorial Day week-end in Seattle. The audio isn't as good as
the first one, but you can still hear the high rev's and see the speed.
The clock reads 3:03 when we go by.
This heat is between our Chevy V6 powered, Kelson 225 and Mosier's Ford
powered, Hanson hydro
This video represents only one of the MANY exciting races held on Green
Lake. Even though we ended up second, I will enjoy watching it over and
over.
Both boats are still around, one is being restored for the vintage wars
(ours) and Mike Jarvis is the current owner of the Mosier boat and to my
understanding, his intentions are to put a capsule on it and run it as a
2.5 mod (the boat is currently down at Kelson's mega vintage
establishment).
Best Holiday for the Holidays and the very best to you all for 2009.

December 01, 2008 10:00 PM Possible Vintage Race Dates
If all goes to plan - such as the boat paint gets finished, the wiring
gets finished, the motor test goes well. We are circling three races dates
and locations out of a possibility out of eight.
Things can change and we may substitute one or more, but the tenative
schedule we are shooting for is 1) April 18 & 19, Moses Lake, Wash. 2)
June 8 & 9 at Lake Sammamish State Park (for Tastin' & Racin') and
3) August 29 & 30 Pateros, Wash.
There are usually hotels near by or if you have a camper, you sometimes
can park in the parking lot (sometimes, because the boat racers may have
already taken all the spots).
The Tastin' & Racin' is a car show, boat race and food vendors event.
The other possible races are Entiat Wash on May 2 & 3, Lake Osoyoss,
Oroville Wash, July 18 & 19, Lake Spanaway, August 12 & 13, Lake
Chelan, August 26 & 27, Lake Sammamish, October 10 & 11.
The dates could change for us to adjust for repairs of car events we
regularly attend.
